How it works

ProduceUMI is UMI’s workshop for students who want to make their own music. Over the term, small groups meet with student producers to take a song from an idea to a finished track, then release it and play it at a UMI show.

  1. Bring an idea

A voice memo, some lyrics, a beat or a finished demo. Every genre and every level is welcome.

  2. Make it in the workshop

Weekly sessions pair you with student producers to write, arrange and record in the Nest.

  3. Release it

Your finished song goes up here, and you get a slot to play it live at a UMI show.

Who owns the song?

You do. UMI shares finished songs here and on our socials, with credit, only with your permission.
